Akgul Amanmuradova books place in second round of WTA Cincinnati

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Akgul Amanmuradova of Uzbekistan moved to the second round of WTA tournament in Cincinnati - Western & Southern Financial Group Women's Open with prize fund of US$2 million.

In the first round, Amanmuradova played against Japan’s Kimiko Date Krumm. Both players qualified to main draw through qualification round.

In the first set, the Uzbek player won with the score 6/1 and in the second – 6/4.

In the second round, Amanmuradova will face Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia, who also reached main draw from qualification round. In the first round, she defeated Aravane Rezai from France - 4/6, 6/3 and 6/4.
