Amanmuradova qualifies to US Open

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan’s top tennis player Akgul Amanmuradova qualified to the main women’s draw of the US Open. She outplayed Valerie Tetreault in straight sets to claim her spot in main draw – 6:4 and 6:3.

In the first round of main draw, Amanmuradova will face Chanelle Scheepers of South Africa.

As earlier reported, Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan will also participate in the US Open. He will play against Argentine’s Maximo Gonzalez.
