KOTRA has organized training for the railway in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Korea Trade Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) is conducting a series of trainings "New Korean technology in the field of railways" for students of the Tashkent Institute of Railway Engineers (TASHIIT).
Training sessions organized in collaboration with "Uzbekistan Railways" and TASHIIT.
The purpose of this event is to educate students and Uzbek latest Korean technologies related to high-speed rail and electrification of railways.
According to KOTRA, the leading specialists Korean railway companies KORAIL, POSCO and KOBEC CO., LTD hold lectures for students of TASHIIT.
During the training, students are introduced to new Korean technology design and construction of railway lines and bridges, construction of railway facilities, high-speed railway management.
Uzbek students will also learn electrical signaling systems and the systems RF-CBTC, electrical communication systems and the latest in communications technology, etc.
Kim Hyun Joong, chairman of KOBEC CO., LTD., said that Korean companies came to Uzbekistan that would show the Korean high-speed rail technology. He noted that the Korean railway technology does not behind European counterparts. This event brings together the leading railway companies of the Republic of Korea, he said.
Kim Hyun Joong said that TASHIIT students are the future of railways in Uzbekistan, and this training was organized for them. He expressed the hope that this event will lead to closer cooperation between the railways of Uzbekistan and South Korea.
Lee Jong Seob, Director of KOTRA in Uzbekistan, said that the event is held within the framework of CSR, which provides for the social responsibility of leading Korean companies.
The head of the KOTRA said that Uzbekistan is located in the center of rail services of the CIS and the future of the railways in the hands of these students. He said that the event also aims to raise the image of Korean companies.
Lee Jong Seob noted that South Korea has advanced technology in the field of railways and underground railways. He added that Uzbekistan is now also has a high-speed railway and plans to expand it. During the training, students learned about potential problems in this area.
Director of KOTRA in Uzbekistan stressed that if this event is successful, next year, KOTRA plans to conduct similar training in other areas - the construction of roads, energy, etc.
