Uzbekistan Airways to join SkyTeam in 2014

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, national airline of Uzbekistan, will complete all procedures on accession to international airlines alliance SkyTeam, RIA Novosti reported quoting the source in the company.
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari recently successfully passed audit inspection of the independent auditor agency Skytrax.
The airline received three stars in the result of the audit and it showed that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari is ready to join the alliance.
It is worth to mention that Korean Air proposed to accept Uzbekistan Havo Yollari to SkyTeam in the end of 2007. In May 2008, the board of the alliance supported the initiative.
SkyTeam is the second largest airlines alliance in the world after Star Alliance. It was created in June 2000 and unites 19 airlines.
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari was founded on 28 January 1992. Uzbekistan Havo Yollari flies to over 40 cities of the world, including in Europe, Asia, America, CIS and Middle East.
