Uzbekistan announces tender for reconstruction of P87 road

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan announced a tender for reconstruction of automobile road Guzar – Chim Kukdala (P87).
The tender was announced within four separate lots on reconstruction of the 35 km part of the road and bridge at the highway.
The construction term is 18 months. According to the tender rules, the proposal will be received till 29 January 2014.
The financing of the reconstruction works will be conducted due to loans of Saudi Development Fund and Kuwait Fund for Arabic Economic Development for US$50.4 million, issued to Uzbekistan in 2011.
The project with the cost of US$80 million envisages reconstruction of 73 km of four-lane road with asphalt pavement and construction of one road in Kashkadarya region.
The project will be implemented within four years and it is part of the large project on construction of Uzbekistan highway of the first category.
