One of the longest cable-way in world to be constructed in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russia’s Zapadno-Ural Machinery-Construction Concern (ZUMK) will complete construction of one of the longest cargo cable-way of the world in Uzbekistan by 2015, the Russian company said in a statement.
Tphe Russian company said that the construction work of the cable-way is speeding up. The project on the volume and scale of the construction can be named as mega-construction. This is unique project in last 80 years and the longest cargo cable-way in the world, ZUMK said.
The length of the cable-way is 30 km. It is planned to complete construction and commission the cable-way in 2015.
The cable-way will be used by Dehkanabad potash fertilizers plant on the base of Tyubegata potassium salts deposit.
Dehkanabad Plant on Production of Potash Fertilizers has been commissioned in July 2010. The project capacity of the plant is 200,000 tonnes of product a year. The project cost was US$123.7 million. ZUMK and CITIC carried out construction works.
In 2014, Uzkimyosanoat completed construction of the second line of the plant with the cost of US$254 million. The project envisages to increase its capacities three times to 600,000 tonnes of potash fertilizers a year, of which 350,000 tonnes will be exported.
In 2011, Russia’s Zapadno-Ural Machinery-Construction Concern (ZUMK) signed a contract with Uzkimyosanoat on expanding capacities of mining complex with the cost of US$128 million, while China’s CITIC Ltd inked an agreement with Uzkimyosanoat to expand enrichment complex for US$110 million.
