Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Russia marked the 10th anniversary of signing of the agreement on strategic partnership on 16 June 2014, which outlines priority directions of bilateral interaction in various spheres.
On this occasion, the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia exchanged congratulation messages, the Russian Embassy in Tashkent said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed prosperity and well-being to the citizens of Uzbekistan and said that this is important document, which helped to lift the Uzbek-Russian relations to new level. He said that the agreement significantly helped to expand bilateral cooperation in various areas.
President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov said that mechanisms on interaction and political dialogue at various levels, which were created within the agreement, became an efficient tools for open exchange of opinions on key regional security and stability issues.
The Embassy said that the date helps to develop relations between Russia and Uzbekistan.
