Meitrack Group to supply GPS equipment to Tashkent public transport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- China’s Meitrack Group will supply sets of GPS-trackers and GPS/GSM antennas for public transport of Tashkent city.
The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a corresponding decision. According to the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers, it granted permission to foreign trade company of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan – Uzprommashimpeks – to sign import contract with Meitrack Group (China) for supply of sets of GPS-trackers and GPS/GSM antennas without holding tender, as an exception.
The government entrusted Toshavtotamirhizmat and Uzprommashimpeks to sign a commission agreement for supply of sets of GPS-trackers and GPS/GSM antennas for enterprises of passenger transport of Tashkent city without holding tender.
In line with the agreement, Chinese company will deliver 2,500 sets of GPS trackers and 150 units of GPS and 150 units of GSM antennas.
The Government exempted Uzprommashimpeks from payment of customs duties (except registration fee) for goods, imported within the project, from 1 January to 31 December 2014.
