CIS states to sign agreement on cutting roaming price

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The member-states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) are planning to sign agreement on principles of conducting inter-operator calculations at providing international communication services, including roaming, head of the State Agency for Communication and Information of Kazakhstan Askar Zhumagaliev said at the 49th session of the Council of Administrations of Communications of the Regional Commonwealth, which is taking place in Astana.
He said that implementation of the agreement will decrease the cost of communication in roaming in the CIS states, Interfax reported.
He said that the sides discussed the terms. The agreement will signed either at the end of 2014 or beginning of 2015.
Regional Commonwealth in communication is an international organization, which coordinates operations in electric, postal communication and information sectors. It unites 12 states of the CIS. Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and ITU are observers.
