Uzbekistan Airways to get two Boeing-787-800 Dreamliner planes in 2016

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) will receive two airplanes Boeing-787-800 Dreamliner in 2016.
The Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On mechanisms of financing of purchase of two airplanes Boeing-787-800 Dreamliner and additional engine” on 11 July 2014.
According to the resolution, the US company Boeing will deliver the first plane Boeing-787-800 Dreamliner and additional engine in June 2016.
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari will receive the second airplane Boeing-787-800 Dreamliner in August 2016.
The resolution said that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari made an advanced payments for US$3.86 million from its own resources in line with the agreement on purchase of two airplanes Boeing-787-800 Dreamliner and additional engine.
The cost of the contract is US$246.4 million. Fund for Reconstruction and Development of Uzbekistan (FRDU) will issue a loan for US$223.2 million. The loan will be refinanced via National Bank of Uzbekistan for Foreign Economic Activity (NBU).
The resolution said that Uzbekistan Havo Yollari will repay loan of the FRDU, issued to finance purchase of two airplanes Boeing-787-800 Dreamliner and additional engine, due to own resources.
The Government entrusted NBU in cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Economy, FRDU and Uzbekistan Havo Yollari to select a foreign banks, which offer the best terms to finance 40% cost of the contract on purchase of two planes and additional engine.
The Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan was entrusted to issue guarantee of the Government to NBU on refinanced loans of foreign banks.
