Uzbekistan announces 28 July as holiday

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a resolution “On celebration of Ramadan Hait” on 23 July, in line with which 28 July is announced as holiday in Uzbekistan.
The document was adopted taking into account role and importance of Eid ul-Fitr in spiritual life of Uzbekistan, preserving and praising national-spiritual values.
According to the document, first day of Eid ul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan month, falls to 28 July. In order to mark the holiday widely, Uzbek leader announced 28 July as holiday in Uzbekistan.
The resolution entrusted national funds Nuroniy and Makhalla, Kamolat Youth Movement and other public structure organize celebrations in high level.
