Uzbekistan, Turkey discuss cooperation in automobile transportation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A session of the Uzbek-Turkish mixed commission on issues of international automobile transportation was held in Tashkent city on 12-13 August 2014.
The session was held under chair of the Director-General of the Directorate General of Road Transport Regulation of Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of Turkey Ali Riza Yüceulu and deputy head of the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport Shoalim Shavahabov.
During the negotiations, it was underlined that bilateral cooperation in international automobile communications is developing positively.
According to the Embassy of Turkey in Tashkent, the sides discussed a draft agreement between Uzbekistan and Turkey on international automobile passenger and cargo transportation.
After discussions, the sides agreed final variant of draft agreement and initialed a treaty. They also agreed to carried out necessary procedures for further preparation of the document to signing.
The sides underlined that it is important to hold regular sessions of the Uzbek-Turkish mixed commission on international automobile transportations to develop cooperation between two states in this area. They discussed issues of use of permission forms to carry out international automobile transportations.
Turkish side, in line with need of transporters, requested to exchange 3,500 additional permission forms for 2014.
The Uzbek side agreed to exchange 2,000 additional permission forms for 2014 in order to develop international transportation between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
The sides agreed that within the year, based on demands, will consider exchange of additional permission forms. Turkish side requested 20,000 permission forms for 2015. The sides agreed to determine number of permission forms for 2015 by October 2015 via diplomatic channels.
Turkish delegation expressed gratitude for the Uzbek side for high level of organization of the event and invited the Uzbek side to hold next session of the Uzbek-Turkish mixed commission in Turkey. The date and venue of the session will be set via diplomatic channels. The sides signed a protocol of the session.
