Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov will participate in upcoming NATO summit, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
The statement of the ministry said that the delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov will participate in upcoming NATO summit in Wales (Great Britain) in the session dedicated to Afghanistan.
The NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen invited the delegation of Uzbekistan to NATO summit, the ministry’s statement said.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the couintry established its relations with NATO on 21 December 1991.
Opening of the Bureau of the NATO Liaison Officer in Central Asia in Tashkent in August 2013 and NATO Depositary Library at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in May 2014 has marked yet another positive momentum in the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Alliance.
