Uzbekistan Airways, IATA holds talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Specialists of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways) held negotiations with the officials of International Air Transport Association (IATA)
Vice President of IATA for Europe, Russia and CIS states Rafael Schvartzman briefed the Uzbek side on activities of the IATA and existing problems in international civil aviation, plans for regional cooperation. He noted that IATA wants to use experience of the Uzbek civil aviation in ensuring security of flights in CIS to ensure security of flights of the region.
IATA officials offered to hold a regional forum Aviation Cargo Day Uzbekistan 2015 in Uzbekistan, which would develop cargo transportation in Uzbekistan via promoting nternational intermodal center for logistics “Navoi” and help to expand cargo transportation fleet of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari.
IATA also offered to create its training center under Educational-Training Center of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari to train and improve skills of personal.
Currently, IATA unites over 270 airlines, which carry out flights at five continents of the world. Share of IATA members makes up 84% of total global air transportation.
