Uzbek, French FMs hold negotiations in Paris

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Delegation of Uzbekistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France Laurent Fabius in Paris on 7 November 2014.
At the meeting the sides considered current state and perspective directions of developing of the Uzbek-French relations in political, trade-economic, military-technical and other spheres, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan said.
It was said that meetings between Ministries of foreign affairs, fruitful cooperation among representatives of business circles, regular scientific-education and cultural exchanges, contacts at the level of civil society of two states allow gradually to expand all-round relations and jointly form long-term and mutual beneficial agenda based on respecting interests of two states.
The ministers exchanged opinion on some international problems, paying separate attention to changes, taking place in the world, including in Afghanistan and Central Asian region as a whole.
At the end of the negotiations, Minister signed intergovernmental agreements on establishing and conditions of the activities of French Alliance in Tashkent and on cooperation in the sphere of healthcare and medical science.
On the same day, the nine round of bilateral political consultations were held with participation of deputy head of General directorate on political and security affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Development of France Pierre Cochard.
