US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs to visit Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Biswal will pay a visit to Uzbekistan.
The US State Department said that she will travel to India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Uzbekistan, and Switzerland from 23 November to 5 December 2014.
The US State Department did not disclose dates of visit of Biswal to Uzbekistan, but it will take place before her visit to Switzerland. In Basel, she will participate in OSCE Ministeral Council, which will take place on 4-5 December. This means that she will visit Uzbekistan in early December 2014.
“She will travel to Tashkent, Uzbekistan for the Annual Bilateral Consultations and discuss with the government of Uzbekistan the full range of bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest,” the US State Department said.
Nisha Desai Biswal assumed the post of the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia in November 2013. Nisha Desai Biswal replaced at this post Robert Blake.
