Trade turnover of Uzbekistan and Poland makes up US$127.5m

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Trade turnover of Uzbekistan and Poland made up US$127.5 million in nine months of 2014, which is slightly lower compared to the same period of 2013, the Department on assisting trade and investment of Poland Embassy in Tashkent said.
Acting head of the Department on assisting trade and investment Jacek Michalski said that exports of Poland to Uzbekistan made up US$104 million in nine months of 2014, which dropped by 6% year-on-year. At the same time, the exports of Uzbekistan to Poland rose almost 20% to US$23.2 million.
Fall of Polish exports to Uzbekistan is connected with negative external factors. Poland’s export items to Uzbekistan fell from 19 to 17 and exports of cattle, foods and agriculture products also decreased.
But the growth of exports of light industry, oil and fats, textile products, products from stone, gypsum, cement, glass and others rose. Supply of machinery and equipment, metal products also rose.
The Department noted that Uzbekistan increased number of items exported to Poland from 11 to 13. Uzbekistan supplies non-ferrous metals, agriculture goods, cotton yarn, textile and chemical products to Poland.
