Tashkent hosts forum on social partnership

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A two-day international forum “Social partnership in helping children in need: advanced national and foreign experience” started in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on 25 November 2014.
It was organized by Republic center for social adaptation of children, Ministry of Public Education, Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare of Population, Ministry of Finance Sen Yolg’iz Emassan Foundation, Council of Trade Unions Federation, UNICEF, Kamolot and Tashkent city administration.
MPs and Senators of Oliy Makjlis of Uzbekistan, representatives of ministries and departments, NGOs, foreign and local specialists and others are attended the event.
The forum is dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the UN Convention on child rights and the 10th anniversary of Republic center for social adaptation of children.
During the event, the participants considered state policy on creation of favourable conditions for development of children and youth, protection of orphans and children without family, methods of optimization of social protection of children, etc.
It was underlined that law “On social partnership” helps to establish constructive dialogue between the state bodies and public organization in solving problems of the system on socialization of orphans and children with disabilities. The participants considered implementation of the law in practice.
The participants will develop recommendation on improving legal framework for social partnership directed at protection of children, formation of harmonically developed and healthy children, improving interaction of the state bodies with civil society institutes in implementation of social programmes, etc.
They will also develop recommendations on improving education system, social protection and adaptation systems, as well as other actual issues.
