Uzbekistan offers Russia to launch direct supplies agriculture products

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan called Russia to launch direct supplies of fruits and vegetables to the Russian market. This proposal was made during the session of intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan, which was held in Tashkent on 26 November 2014.
First Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Azimov said that the supplies of fruits and vegetables to Russia sharply fell, but supplies to Kazakhstan grew significantly.
Azimov said that Uzbekistan started to study reasons for this. He said that Russia provides preferences to supply of such products from Kazakhstan. In the result, this regime stimulate exports of fruits and vegetables to Kazakhstan and they re-export them to Russia.
He said that Uzbekistan proposes to Russia to create such trade and customs regime, which would stimulate direct supplies of fruits and vegetables to Russia.
