Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 5 December 2014 Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) held an alumni meeting for graduates of KOICA’s training courses.
The event was organized with the goal to assist in continuous strengthening of graduates’ capacity and improving performance of KOICA’s training courses, it was attended by participants of training courses, as well as representatives of ministries and government institutions. Let us remind you that the graduates of the courses - are promising professionals and experts in various fields. They trained in the largest and leading companies in Korea, in areas such as public administration, education, health, industry, energy, information technology and environmental protection.
- This event has become a tradition, and today there are trainees who were trained in the Republic of Korea in various fields, some of them are civil servants, academics, cultural figures and representatives of other spheres. These are people who are familiar with the customs, traditions and achievements of Korea, and will play an important role in strengthening the relations between our countries - said Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan Mr. Lee Wook-hyeon.
During the meeting, presentations were made on KOICA activities, as well as on some jointly implemented projects in Uzbekistan. The cultural part of the event included the Korean and Uzbek national dances, lottery and a memorial photo at the end.
The Korea International Cooperation Agency was founded on 1 April 1991, as a government agency responsible for grant aid to support sustainable socio-economic development in developing countries through sharing Korea’s development experience as well as enhancing friendly and cooperative relationships with partner countries.
