Uzbekistan, Switzerland consider bilateral trade-economic ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with the representatives of the Swiss delegation led by President of Diplomatic Circle Robert Blum.
The delegation also included Executive Vice President of International Green Cross and owner of consulting firm Alcazar SA, former mayor of Geneva Pierre Muller and Vice-President of Association of International Cooperation Catherine Fiankan-Bokonga.
The sides discussed issues of establishing bilateral cooperation in agriculture, food and automobile industries, logistics, pharmaceuticals, ICT, tourism, alternative sources of energy, etc.
The guests received information on current state and development of trade-economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Switzerland, investment climate in Uzbekistan, as well as preferences provided to foreign investors and free industrial zones.
The Uzbek side informed on activities of GM, MAN and ISUZU and underlined importance of implementation of the joint projects on production of components to automobiles, trucks, buses of GM, MAN and ISUZU with participation of foreign investors.
The sides reached agreement to organize visits of the business circles of two states, open joint enterprises in food industry, participation of the companies of two states in the exhibitions and fairs, organized in Uzbekistan and Switzerland.
