Uzbek delegation holds meeting at CCI of Vladimir region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vladimir region (Russia) hosted a meeting with a delegation of the state joint stock foreign trade company Uzmarkazimpeks (Uzbekistan) and Russian businesses.
The delegation of Uzbekistan presented its opportunities on supply of agriculture products – cotton, nuts, vegetables, fresh and dried fruits – to the Russian region.
Representative of Uzmarkazimpeks Dildora Pirmatova said that the Uzbek annually exports about 200,000 tonnes of cotton fibre, including to Russia. She said that the company has trade house in Moscow and warehouses in Moscow and Yaroslav regions.
She underlined that the company is planning to start to export fruit and vegetables as Uzbekistan has great potential in this area. Uzbekistan produced 16 million tonnes of fruits and vegetables a year.
Uzmarkazimpeks is ready to supply some fruits and vegetables all year round and others – depends on the season.
About 15 businesses from Vladimir region attended the meeting. After the presentation, they had chance to hold talks with the representatives of the Uzbek company.
