Gov’t to eliminate remnants of administrative-command system

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan will eliminate remnants of administrative-command system and old methods of management, the action programme of the Cabinet of Ministers for near and long-term perspective, presented by Prime Minister Shavkat Mirziyayev at the joint session of both chambers of the parliament on 23 January said.
The programme said that efficiency of execution of priority tasks of economic and social reforms will depand on efficiency of the work of the Cabinet of Minister, ministries and departments and hokimyats of all level.
The document said it is necessary to eliminate remnants of administrative-command system and old methods of management and further deepen economic reforms in Uzbekistan.
The Government will develop and submit a proposal to improve legislation in administrative procedures to the parliament, which will envisage introduction of modern methods in work of the executive body, strengthen mechanisms of inter-department control, improve responsibility of officials for result of adopted decisions, the programme added.
The programme underlined that implementation of these important tasks and action programme will require new efficient and modern approaches to activities of each member of the government and officials of all ranks. At the same time, personal responsibility of each of them to achieve final result will be increased.
Cabinet of Ministers plans to unite joint efforts of the state bodies and economic management, as well as administrations at all levels to successfully implement strategic tasks, outlined by the President of Uzbekistan, on further sustainable development of Uzbekistan.
