UzLiDeP vows to eliminate shortages, improve work

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Joint session of the both chambers of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent on 23 January 2015. President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov delivered a speech at the session.
Uzbek leader congratulated parliamentarians with their election to Oily Majlis of Uzbekistan and high trust, which people of Uzbekistan showed to them.
Activists of UzLiDeP studied the speech of the President Islam Karimov and expressed their opinion.
Sarahan Koylybayeva, director of Promin-West and head of primary party organization of UzLiDeP, said that the primary party organization studied the speech of the President carefully. She said that the elections to parliament were held in high level.
She noted that the parliament adopted over 30 legislative acts, which helped to deepen democratic and market reforms, liberalize and restructure economy, develop small businesses and farms, as well as activities of civil society institutes.
Sarahan Koylybayeva noted that Islam Karimov in his speech noted that the draft laws should be discussed with attraction of experts and specialists, as well as representatives of civil society. She underlined that the primary party organization will participate in discussion of the draft laws, so the documents meet interests of electorate.
Mavjuda Qobulova, MP of Surkhandarya regional Council of People’s Deputies, said that regional Councils of People’s Deputies consider wide-range of issues related to development of regions and meet people to address their concerns and solve problems.
She noted that there are still shortages in the work of the Councils of People’s Deputies and MPs should boost their activities and on regular bases consider development of the regions at the sessions of the Councils. She recalled the President Islam Karimov that the parliament and local councils do not pay enough attention to law enforcement. MPs from UzLiDeP are planning to contribute to study impact of laws to life of people and law enforcement in place.
The MPs will also focus on analysis of law liberalization and work with the voters. She noted MPs should be part of feedback mechanism, which is currently is not working efficiently. The MPs should also help to participation of people in state governance.
Erkin Holmatov, chairperson of Jizzakh regional Council of UzLiDeP, said that the article 98 of the Constitution was used for the first time. The winner of the parliamentary elections nominated the candidacy of the Prime Minister.
UzLiDeP won the most seats in the lower house of the parliament and nominated the candidate to the post of the Prime Minister and submitted proposal to the President. President nominated the candidate of UzLiDeP to parliament and the candidate was approved at the joint session of both chambers of the parliament.
He noted that this became a key factor for further democratization and liberalization of the state powers and governance.
