Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 January, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev signed a law “On ratification of protocol on introduction of changes and amendments to agreement between the Government of Kazakhstan and the Government of Uzbekistan on conditions of mutual travel of citizens from 7 July 2000”.
The agreement is applied to persons, who are residence of the sides of the agreement. The document also regulates issues related to income tax, levied by local or central governments, etc.
The agreement has been in force since 2000 and envisages free-visa regime between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The document approved list of documents for entry, exit and stay of the citizens of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the territory of two states. Uzbekistan offered to add new types of documents to the agreement.
Biometric diplomatic and citizen passports of Uzbekistan, identification of the citizen of Uzbekistan under age of 16 and certificate of return were included to the list of the agreement.
