Uzbek Hajj delegation visits Saudi Arabia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Hajj of Uzbekistan led by chairperson of the Committee on Religious Affairs Ortiq Yusupov visited Saudi Arabia on 17-24 February 2015 on invitation of Ministry of Hajj Affairs of Saudi Arabia.
The delegation of Uzbekistan met Minister of Hajj Affairs of Saudi Arabia Bandar bin Mohammed bin Hamza Asaad Al Hajjar on 19 February. Saudi side highly rated measures, adopted to organize visit of Uzbek pilgrims to Saudi Arabia and adherence to local rules and laws.
The Saudi Arabian side said that organization of pilgrimage by Uzbekistan can serve as an example for other states.
The delegation of Uzbekistan expressed condolences in connection with the death of Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The Uzbek side also expressed gratitude to the Ministry for support at organization of Hajj in 2014.
On 17 February, the delegation met with the members of the boards of the Union of Joint Representatives led by its head Ahmad Haval. It was noted that the Uzbek side adhered to all conditions and no violations were recorded during pilgrims stay in Saudi Arabia and carrying out Hajj rules.
On the same day, the delegation of Uzbekistan met the members of the board of National Institution on rendering pilgrimage services to Turkey, Europe, America and Australia led by its chairperson Tariq bin Mohammad Ankawi.
Tariq bin Mohammad Ankawi underlined that the Uzbek pilgrims can serve as an example for others as they adhered to rules and laws in Saudi Arabia.
On 17-21 February, the delegation of Uzbekistan held several meetings with the officials of Saudi Arabia on organization of Hajj pilgrimage.
On 19-21 February, the Uzbek delegation met with compatriots in Mecca and Medina and familiarizes with services, provided them, and created conditions for them.
Within the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan and Ministry of Hajj Affairs of Saudi Arabia signed an agreement on organization of Hajj season in 2015.
On 21 February, the Uzbek delegation met with pilgrims from Uzbekistan, who were conducting Umrah pilgrimage. The delegation officials got acquainted with conditions created for pilgrims.
