Russia stops transit of poultry from Ukraine to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselhoznadzor) returned over 37 tonnes of poultry to Ukraine, which was heading to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan via Russian territory, the Department of the service in Bryansk and Smolensk region said.
The statement said that lorries with poultry of Ukraine production arrived in to customs post Troyebortnoye on 4 March.
The cargo with 37 tonnes was heading to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The cargo has certificates of the Ukrainian state veterinary service.
Rosselhoznadzor officials revealed that the certificates did not have all information and were filled with violations.
At the same time, the cargo has no permission of the veterinary service of Uzbekistan to import poultry.
Some of goods have no labels. Some labels pasted so that the package can be opened without harming the stamps.
The Russian officials decided to return cargo to the senders due to these violations.
