Faction of UzLiDeP discusses several laws

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Faction of Liberal-Democratic Party of Uzbekistan (UzLiDeP) held a session to discuss several draft laws on 24 March 2015.
The MPs considered a draft law “On mandatory insurance of civil liability of transporters”, which guarantees repayment of damages to life, health and property of passengers at conducting transportation in various transports in Uzbekistan.
It was underlined that adoption of the document will improve legal relations in repayment damages to life, health and property of passengers by transport companies, eliminating shortages in legislation in this sphere, develop insurance market and improve quality of services.
MPs also discussed a draft law of Uzbekistan “On introduction of changes and amendments, as well as abolishment of some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with adoption of the law “On mandatory insurance of civil liability of transporters”.
The draft law envisages replacement of private insurance of passenger of air, railway, internal water and automobile transport of general use with mandatory insurance of civil liability of transporter.
MPs underlined that mechanism of mandatory insurance of civil liability of transporters is used in the world to protect interests of passengers. It is important to adopt the legislation in this direction in Uzbekistan.
The draft law will optimize expenses on repayment of damages, caused to the passenger, and will help to protect interests of the passengers.
The draft law amends legislation to create mechanism of control for execution of liabilities on mandatory insurance.
The faction also discussed a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to the law “On radio frequency spectrum”.
The draft law will ensure conditions and efficiency of secure use of radio frequency and raise level of information security of data transfer, including TV and radio broadcasting.
MPs considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to the Civil processual code of Uzbekistan”.
The document is aimed simplifying appeals of the citizens to courts and wide use of electronic document turnover at civil courts, improving legal proceedings at the courts via sending documents to courts via Internet.
It was noted that E-SUD system was introduced at the courts, which establish system on submitting electronic documents to the courts.
UzLiDeP said that the system will allow to ensure openness and transparency of activities of the courts and determines mechanisms of receiving information from the courts.
At the meeting, MPs shared their proposals and recommendations on considered issues. The corresponding decisions of the faction were adopted.
