Uzbekistan and Poland to hold session of intergovernmental commission in June

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Poland will hold a session of intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in June 2015 in Warsaw, head of the Department on assisting trade and investments under Embassy of Poland in Tashkent Jacek Michalski said.
Jacek Michalski noted that before that two delegations of business circles of Poland will visit to Uzbekistan. The Silesian Chamber of Commerce of Wroclaw will arrive in Tashkent to participate in a business forum on 13-14 April. The delegation will include 10 organizations and companies of Poland.
Another delegation of business circles of Poland will visit Uzbekistan in the end of April. The visit is organized by Lublin Business Club. The mission will include companies, working in agriculture and food industries.
He noted that trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Poland made up about US$166 million in 2014, which fell by 4.1% year-on-year.
He noted that Uzbekistan increased exports of goods to Poland by over 14%, while exports from Poland to Uzbekistan fell by 8%.
Poland mainly exported chemical products (23% in total exports), machinery and equipment (21%), cattle (23%), food products (5.7%). Overall, agriculture and food products account about 32% of Polish exports to Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan mainly exported to Poland cotton products (37% in total exports), mineral products (28%), chemical products (24%), and products from plants (8%).
