Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- State Competition Committee of Uzbekistan revealed collusion during a tender on placement of inter-regional routes for passenger transportation.
The committee said that DILSHODBEK OMAD and NODIRBEK E’ZOZ BARAKA colluded on placement of passenger transportation route between Karshi and Termez.
The tender for the route was abolished as NODIRBEK E’ZOZ BARAKA had no license to carry out inter-regional passenger transportation. It provided only license to carry out suburban passenger transportation services.
In line with tender rules, there should be two firms to consider tender as valid and efforts of NODIRBEK E’ZOZ BARAKA was directed to ensure that DILSHODBEK OMAD wins the tender. At the same time, the committee said that tender applications, submitted by both companies, were identical and have similar errors, which also serves as evidence for collusion.
A case for violation of the law “On competition” was opened against DILSHODBEK OMAD and NODIRBEK E’ZOZ BARAKA. They were ordered not to violate the legislation in future and officials were fined.
