Chinese special envoy: China highly rates relations with Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and China discussed actual international issues, including reforming the UN Security Council, the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Liu Guchang said in interview to Jahon news agency.
A delegation of China led by the Special Envoy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Liu Guchang visited Uzbekistan on 15-16 April 2015.
He said: “Within the visit we discussed actual issues of international agenda, including discussions on reforming the UN Security Council. Exchange of opinion on current state and perspectives of bilateral relations also took place.”
He underlined that Uzbekistan and China have close position within the UN. China believes that the UN Security Council should be reformed as situation in the world changed drastically. This structure should be on par with time and adapt to new conditions, as well as meet interests of all sides.
Liu Guchang said China highly rate relations with Uzbekistan and pays special attention to further deepening and expending it. He said that political interaction between two states is in very high level. Uzbekistan and China support each other on international and regional issues. He stated that the Uzbek-Chinese relations are not only important for two states, but also to development of the Central Asian region and the world as a whole.
