UzLiDeP pays attention to developing intensive horticulture and viticulture

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ferghana Council of the UzLiDeP in cooperation with the faction of the party at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a roundtable titled “Development of intensive horticulture and viticulture in Uzbekistan: reached results and upcoming tasks” in Ferghana on 23 April 2015.
Heads of farmers, representative of small and private businesses, MPs of local Councils, Farmers’ Council, tax and customs bodies and others participated in the event.
The party currently implements pre-election tasks and further reforming agriculture and developing farms are among the priorities.
The party project “Women farmers”, realized by “Women’s Wing” of UzLiDeP, is directed at developing farms, supporting formation of private proprietors, improving their legal and economic knowledge, etc. The project is implemented each year.
It was underlined that over 30 decrees and resolutions of the president, government resolutions are implemented in Uzbekistan to develop horticulture and viticulture, enterprises on processing of wine products, supporting small and private businesses.
Ferghana region is playing a key role in producing fruits, vegetables and grapes. The region developed a special programme. It is planned to realize 664 new investment projects on creation of modern enterprises and reconstruction of existing capacities, as well as development of multiple-discipline farms in 2015. It is planned to open intensive gardens and vineyards, services and processing capacities in 1,876 multi-discipline farms.
It is planned to issued 58146 million soums of banking loans, US$500,000 of foreign investments and 52567 million soums of own resources of the project initiators to implement the programme. This will help to create 2,897 new jobs. Multiple-discipline farms will receive 25081 million soums, which will help to create 8,656 new jobs.
The participants shared their opinion on further stimulating increasing share of small businesses in industry, production infrastructure of multiple-discipline farms, deep processing agriculture products to exports, attracting of new mini-technologies, etc.
