Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- International Business Center in Tashkent hosted an Uzbek-Hungarian Business Forum with participation of business circles of two states on 29 April 2015.
The forum was held within the visit of the delegation of business circles of Hungary led by the Parliamentary State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary and co-chair of the Uzbek-Hungarian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation László Szabó, the MFERIT said.
Representatives of Hungarian companies, Hungarian Agriculture Chamber, Eximbank of Hungary and others participated in the event.
At the forum, the Uzbek side presented economic and investment potential of Uzbekistan and concrete projects for cooperation in pharmaceutical, food and electrotechnical industry, construction materials. The sides also considered issues related to increasing supply of products of the Uzbek enterprises to Hungary.
László Szabó highly rated current level of trade-economic cooperation and called Hungarian companies to boost cooperation with their Uzbek companies in implementation of joint trade and investment projects.
The business circles of Uzbekistan and Hungary also participated in the business negotiations on the same day.
Trade turnover between Uzbekistan and Hungary made up US$63 million in 2014.
Currently, there are three enterprises with Hungarian capital in Uzbekistan, of which two are joint ventures and one with 100% Hungarian capital. Four enterprises of Hungary accredited at the MFERIT.
