Korea Eximbank to provide US$3bn loans to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Korea Eximbank is planning to provide loans for US$3 billion to the banks of Uzbekistan, Vice President of the Bank Kim Young-ki said at the Uzbek-Korean Business Forum.
He said that the large share of projects portfolio of Korea Eximbank in the investment financing falls to share of Uzbekistan, which exceeded US$2 billion, Jahon news agency reported.
He said that the bank highly rates that Uzbek side timely execute their obligations on issued loans.
He said Korean Eximbank and Uzbekistan are preparing new agreement on issuing loans for about US$3 billion to the Uzbek banks, which will be used to implement strategic investment projects in leading industries and infrastructure.
