Uzbekistan launches capacities for production of hydraulic presses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan launched a machinery enterprise on production of hydraulic presses for cotton industry, the press service of Uzpakhtasanoat (Uzbek Cotton Industry) said.
According to the company, opening ceremony of the Uzbek-Chinese joint venture Sinocot Tashkent Cotton Equipment was held on 17 June 2015.
The founders of the venture are China Cotton Industries (Sinocot, share in JV– 87.15%) and Uzpakhtasanoat (12.85%). The enterprise was created on the base of property of Tashkent tractor plant. The cost of the initial stage of the project is US$3.5 million.
The plant will produce hydraulic presses for the cotton industry. The plant’s capacity is 20 presses a year - 10 for the packaging of cotton fiber and 10 for the packaging of lint.
The capacity of the plant will help to replace all presses for packing cotton fibre and cotton lint in the industry in next ten years.
Sinocot Tashkent Cotton Equipment is planning to launch production of other equipment, including ginnery machines.
