Family entrepreneurship creates new jobs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- UzLiDeP and its faction at the Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan organized a seminar “Speeing up development of small and private business, including family entrepreneurship in our country: results and actual tasks” in Surkhandarya region.
Members of UzLiDeP, MPs of local Council of People’s Deputies, tax bodies, farmers, businesses and other attended the event, which was focused on discussing issues of participation of party members in places in development of family businesses and conducting public control in this area.
It was noted that the law “On family entrepreneurship”, developed and adopted based on Concept of further deepening democratic reforms and forming civil society in the country, helps to increase number of family businesses in the country.
At the same time, the presidential decree “On measures on ensuring reliable protection of private property, small business and private entrepreneurship, eliminating barriers for their speedy development” crated more opportunities for free activities of family enterprises. In line with the document, individual entrepreneurs received chance to hire from one to three employees, which can serve as important stimulus for development of family business.
UzLiDeP implements several projects “With diploma to business”, “Family of proprietors”, “From family entrepreneurship – to firm family”, which play key role in attracting women and college graduates to business activities, especially in rural areas. The party also helps to get loans from banks to family businesses. Last year, graduates of colleges in Surkhandarya region received preferential loans for 692 million soums to create family enterprises and 450 new jobs.
Young entrepreneur Mahbuba Karshieva said that the project “With diploma to business” and other party projects she improved her knowledge and skills in entrepreneurship and received practical experience. In 2014,she received 6 million soums of loan to open sewing shop, which allowed to create three new jobs. She noted that such support helps to develop businesses.
At the event, the participants expressed several practical proposals and opinions, as well as exchanged opinion on further developing private sector in Uzbekistan.
