Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population receives Japanese envoy

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Uzbekistan Aziz Abduhakimov received Ambassador of Japan to Uzbekistan Fumihiko Kato, the press service of the Uzbek ministry said.
During the negotiations, the sides discussed practical issues related to promotion of the Programme of technical training the Uzbek interns in Japan.
Envoy handed over multimedia materials, which helps interns to prepare themselves to study in Japan, including life in Japan.
The Japanese side said it is necessary to hold additional promotion events among the Japanese association and enterprises to show that it is beneficial to attract the Uzbek workers to the Japanese enterprises.
The sides noted that holding of such events will allow to increase number of interns from Uzbekistan in Japan. The sides also agreed to create website of the programme.
The Japanese side was also informed on work conducted to open the Department for education of citizens in Japan.
The sides also discussed issues related to purchase of equipment to regional Rehabilitation Center for people with the disabilities in Karakalpakstan due to grant of Japan for US$249,000. It was noted that the surgery block at the Center will be launched in September, which was equipped with modern medical equipment from Japan.
