UZEX sells products for 4.1 trln. soums in 1H

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Total sum of realized goods via all trade platforms of the Uzbek Commodity Exchange (UZEX) in the first half of 2015 made up 4.1 trillion soums.
According to the exchange, sustainable growth of production capacities positively impacted to prices in separate market segments. The exchange noted that the prices for cement fell by 35%, liquefied gas - by 30% and rolled ferrous metals - by 12.3%.
Small and private businesses purchased goods for 2.4 trillion soums and realized own products for 892.3 billion soums, which rose by 17.5% and 20.7% year-on-year respectively.
Their share in total turnover of exchange rose from 65.2% in the first half of 2014 to 79.4% in the same period of 2015.
The volume of deals, conducted at exhibition-fair trades, made up 467.3 billion soums, which grew by 7.6% year-on-year.
The public procurement platform recorded deals for 210.6 billion soums in the first half of 2015, which rose by 7.6% year-on-year. The trades helped to save up to 60 billion soums in the result of price fall, which grew by 28.1% year-on-year.
Share of small and private businesses in supply of works and services in public procuremet made up 99.5% from number of signed deals and the volume of deals. Small business accounted 98% of supplied goods and services.
The volume of deals at corporate procurement reached 170.8 billion soums in the reporting, which increased by4.9%. About 35.9 billion soums of budget resources were save at this platform. Majority of deals on supply of goods and services fell to share of small and private businesses.
