Islam Karimov to visit China in September

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov will pay a visit to China in early September, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Zhang Ming said during press conference in Beijing.
During the visit to China, Islam Karimov will participate in events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of resistance against Japanese aggressions and the World Anti-Fascist War.
Zhang Ming stated that 30 heads of foreign states, 19 high-level government officials, as well as 10 heads of international and regional organizations will participate in the memorable events in Beijing.
According to the organizers, on 3 September, 12,000 soldiers and officers will participate at the parade on Tiananmen Square in Beijing. The foreign military units of the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Mongolia, Cuba and another five countries will also participate in the parade. The Russian honor guard will close the solemn march.
The parade will also involve more than 200 units of ground equipment and the same number of planes. Over 84% of technology will be demonstrated for the first time.
