UZSE turnover makes up 115.1 bn soums in Jan-Oct

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of deals with the securities at the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange “Tashkent” made up 115.1 billion soums in ten months of 2015, which grew by 1.5 times year-on-year (77.5 billion soums in 10 months of 2015).
In ten months of 2015, the exchange recorded 1,982 deals, which is record for last five years. Within these deals, 321.4 million shares of 70 companies were sold, the UZSE said.
Deals for 86.1 billion soums were recorded at the secondary market, of which deals for 3.5 billion soums were conducted with corporate bonds. The turnover of the secondary market rose almost 4 times compared to the same period of 2014 (23.3 billion soums).
The secondary market accounted 74.8% of total turnover, while share of the IPO market was 25.2% or 29 billion soums. The volume of the IPO market in total turnover fell by 46.6% year-on-year.
About 85.2% of total turnover or 98 billion soums fell to share of securities of financial institutions (banks – 84.3% or 97 billion soums, insurance companies – 0.8% or 0.9 billion soums and leasing companies – 0.03% or 0.03 billion soums.
Share of agro-industrial complex made up 10.1% or 11.6 billion soums in total turnover, industry – 0.2% or 0.2 billion soums, as well as construction industry – 2.3% or 2.7 billion soums.
