Uzbekistan, Russia to sign contracts for US$16bn

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan and Russia will sign 55 documents, including economic agreements for over US$16 billion within the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Achilbay Ramatov said in Moscow on 3 April 2017.
Uzbekistan and Russia signed a package of documents for over US$3.5 billion on 3 April during the ceremony at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow.
Achilbay Ramatov said the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in Russia will be important stage in further strengthening of multilateral Uzbek-Russian cooperation and open new perspectives of collaboration, TASS agency reported.
“A solid package of 55 documents has been prepared for the forthcoming visit in the political, trade-economic, investment, military-technical, migration spheres, as well as in the field of inter-regional cooperation, tourism and healthcare for US$16 billion,” he said.
Ramativ said that all these will allow to lift trade-economic and investment relations to new level.
