Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbek Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov and Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu held a meeting in Delhi.
The meeting was held within the framework of the official visit of the Uzbek delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov to India.
Venkaiah Naidu noted that Uzbekistan and India should increase mutual trade up to US$1 billion by March 2018.
He noted that Uzbekistan and India have close cultural and historical ties. He expressed his satisfaction with the fact that a number of cultural events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries were held in Uzbekistan.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov, in his turn, expressed hope that this visit of the Uzbek delegation to India will help to identify new areas of cooperation and will bring relations between the countries to a new level.
