Uzbekistan and Russia discussed cooperation in field of automobile transportation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of the Uzbek-Russian mixed commission on international road transportion took place in Tashkent on 7-8 September.
The delegations of Uzbekistan and Russia considered development of regular international passenger transportation.
During the meeting, it was noted that Uzbekistan is ready to open bus routes after completion of repair and construction works on the A380 “Guzar-Bukhara-Nukus-Beineu” highway with creation of a roadside infrastructure in 2019.
It was also noted that in 2016, Russia and Uzbekistan significantly increased the volume of freight (export-import) compared to previous year.
Participants informed about the peculiarities of legislative acts and normative legal documents in the field of automobile transportation of both countries, agreed on the possibility of an operative exchange of documents at the request of one of the parties.
The parties discussed issues of customs clearance of goods in order to avoid disruption of delivery terms, damage to goods, confiscation of goods, increase of costs, administrative responsibility.
Representatives of the two countries established a preliminary quota for exchange of permission forms in / from third countries for 2018 in the amount of 2,500 pieces.
Depending on the activities of national carriers, it is planned to consider the possibility of an additional exchange of permits on parity terms.
The parties agreed to exchange 300 additional permission forms for this year.
