Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan sign a number of documents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev continued their talks in an expanded format.
Members of official delegations, heads of ministries and large companies took part in the negotiations.
The delegations of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan discussed issues of further development of socio-political, trade-economic, investment cooperation between our countries, strengthening of relations in transport, communication, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
Following the talks, the Presidents signed a joint statement, in which they confirmed desire of two countries to continue developing cooperation across the entire spectrum of cooperation areas.
Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the military-technical sphere, a framework agreement on some issues of cooperation in oil and energy industry.
The parties also signed a road map on cooperation in the field of water relations and a road map for reconstruction and modernization of checkpoints, highways and construction of an adjacent territory on the Uzbek-Kazakh state border.
The State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan and the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan signed an agreement on cooperation on combating smuggling and violations of customs legislation.
Representatives of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy inked an agreement on strategic cooperation.
Memorandums of understanding the development of interregional cooperation between the khokimiyat of Navoi region and the akimat of Kyzylorda oblast, the khokimiyat of Tashkent region and the akimat of South Kazakhstan region, as well as the khokimiyat of Syrdarya region and akimat of the South Kazakhstan region were signed as well.
The Memorandum on cooperation in trade, economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Akimat of Aktobe region of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Memorandum on cooperation in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres between khokimiyat of Jizzakh region and akimat of South-Kazakhstan region, Memorandum between The National Information Agency of Uzbekistan and the International Information Agency Kazinform were signed.
