LUKOIL launches new facilities at Gissar fields cluster in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Russian company LUKOIL held an launching ceremony of new facilities at Gissar cluster of fields in Uzbekistan on 23 September 2017.
Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov took part in opening ceremony.
LUKOIL launched a gas treatment plant with the nominal capacity of 4.4 billion cubic meters a year, a gas pre-treatment unit and six gas gathering stations within the South-West Gissar project.
Three hundred kilometers of high-voltage power-transmission lines, two power substations and 126 kilometers of roads were constructed.
As a result, gas production at the Gissar fields cluster reached planned production level of 14 million cubic meters a day, or 5 billion cubic meters per year. As of today, there are 37 producing wells.
LUKOIL underlined that it produces more than half of total volumes of natural gas, produced at the company’s foreign projects, in Uzbekistan.
As of early September, 2017, the cumulative production at projects, managed by LUKOIL in the country, reached 45 billion cubic meters.
