Aktam Khaitov meets with Minister of Employment and Labor of South Korea

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Minister of Employment and Labor Relations of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Minister of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea Kim Young-Joo on 9 November.
The parties discussed further prospects for the development of the employment permit system, improvement of the mechanisms for recruiting citizens of Uzbekistan for labor activity in the Republic of Korea, the press service of the Agency for External Labor Migration said.
The Minister of Employment and Labor of the Republic of Korea highly appreciated the activities of the Ministry of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Agency for External Labor Migration.
In particular, the Minister of Labor of Korea noted the establishment in Tashkent of the Center for Integrated Testing, which is designed to create comfort for our fellow citizens who wish to work in the Republic of Korea. She also noted the positive dynamics of development of cooperation between Korea and Uzbekistan in the sphere of external labor migration.
In turn, the Minister of Employment and Labor Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan Aktam Khaitov said that the relevant ministries of both countries intend to continue to expand cooperation in the sphere of external labor migration and other directions.
Minister of Labor of Uzbekistan also underlined that the parties are rapidly stepping up cooperation, in particular, centers and educational institutions for teaching Korean language are being created in Uzbekistan.
Minister Aktam Khaitov promised to raise the level of ongoing activities in this field, which will give high economic potential, both for Uzbekistan and for Korea.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Ministers of Labor of Uzbekistan and Korea agreed to unite efforts to raise cooperation between authorized bodies in the field of labor migration “to a qualitatively new level”.
