Interior Affairs Ministers of Uzbekistan and Russia discuss cooperation issues

The Minister of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan Major-General Pulat Bobojonov held a working meeting with the Minister of Interior Affairs of Russia, General of Police Vladimir Kolokoltsov in Moscow.
Kolokoltsov said that currently cooperation of the interior affairs bodies of Russia and Uzbekistan is dynamically developing.
In particular, it was noted that Uzbekistan and Russia created Coordination Working Group for consideration of topical issues of bilateral cooperation in law enforcement in 2017.
At the same time, Vladimir Kolokoltsev stressed the need to step up work on the migration direction in the format of already functioning joint groups.
He said that migration issues are largely connected with such challenges and threats of modernity as extremism and terrorism.
The Russian side expressed its readiness to continue training Uzbek specialists in higher education programs and on courses in further training in key areas of fighting against crime.
Pulat Bobojonov expressed confidence that bilateral cooperation will strengthen and develop.
