Uzbekistan and Kuwait discussed fighting against crimes

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait in the Republic of Uzbekistan Ahmad Khaled Abdullah Al-Jeeran visited the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Uzbekistan.
Deputy Interior Minister Colonel Alisher Mirzayev received the Ambassador of Kuwait, the press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs said.
During the meeting, Mirzaev talked about the reforms being carried out in the system of Interior affairs bodies aimed at increasing effectiveness of solving the tasks facing the law enforcement agency.
The main goal of the reforms is transformation of the Interior affairs bodies into a socially oriented professional structure capable of providing timely and high-quality assistance to the population.
Ambassador Ahmad Khaled Abdullah Al-Jeeran thanked for the warm friendly reception and expressed his firm belief that the bilateral fruitful relations between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the State of Kuwait will develop and strengthen.
The guest expressed concern over the growing worldwide threat of international terrorism and religious extremism, drug trafficking, and stressed that the states of the world community should unite their efforts in combating these crimes against humanity.
In this connection, he assured, law enforcement structures of Kuwait are open for cooperation and exchange of experience with the bodies of Interior affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the fight against international terrorism, religious extremism and illegal drug trafficking. As a confirmation of the above, he proposed signing a bilateral agreement or a memorandum on cooperation between law enforcement agencies of the two countries.
The parties discussed a number of issues aimed at strengthening partnerships, expanding cooperation in combating crime, ensuring stability and security of citizens.
