Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Enterprises of Uzbekistan produced industrial products worth 144.2 trillion soums, according to preliminary data for January-December 2017.
State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said that the growth of industrial production made up 7%.
The main factor of growth in the total volume of industrial production was an increase production in the manufacturing industry by 6.4% (contribution to the increase in the total volume of industrial production 5.2 points), mining and quarrying by 12.9% (contribution to the increase of 1.3 points), electricity supply, gas supply, steam and air conditioning by 4.9% (contribution to the increase of 0.4 points) and water supply, sewerage, collection and disposal of waste by 13.5% (contribution to the increase of 0.1 points).
The volume of production produced by manufacturing enterprises made up 112.7 trillion soums or 78.1% of the total volume, mining and quarrying - 18.3 trillion soums (12.7%), electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning - 12.1 trillion soums (8.4%) and water supply, sewerage, waste collection and disposal - 1.1 trillion soums (0.8%).
In the mining industry in comparison with the corresponding period of last year, production of splinters increased by 39.1%, gravel - 22.2%, carbon - 4.4% and natural gas - 0.5%, while the oil is reduced by 6.3%.
In manufacturing, the production of passenger cars increased by 58.1%, green tea - 21.9%, buses - 16.4%, trucks - 7.5%, vegetable oil - 5.4%, while production of sugar, cotton fiber, diesel fuel and motor gasoline has significantly decreased compared to the corresponding period last year.
In electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning, electricity production increased by 3.0% to more than 60 billion kW / h, and thermal energy decreased by 4.5%.
The largest share in the structure of output of industrial output of the republic is in Tashkent (19.6% of the total volume), Tashkent (14.6%), Andijan (9.2%), Navoi (9.1%), Kashkadarya 7.5%), the Ferghana (6.7%) and Samarkand (6.4%) regions.
At the same time, Surkhandarya (1.5%), Jizzakh (1.6%), Syrdarya (2.4%), Namangan and Khorezm (2.7%) regions accounted the smallest share.
It should be underlined that implementation of high-tech projects for the production of competitive products contributed to a significant increase in production in Andijan (+25.8%) Khorezm (+15.5%) and Namangan (+7.3%) regions, the Republic Karakalpakstan (+9.4%) and Tashkent (+9.2%).
Expansion of the assortment and stimulation of output of finished goods affected the increase in the production of consumer goods in comparison with January-December 2016 (+2.7%), the share of which in the industry amounted to 38.9%.
Analysis of the differentiation of industrial production per capita shows an excess of the average republican index (4.45 million soums) in the Navoi region (13.77 million soums), Tashkent (11.58 million soums), Tashkent region (7.40 million soums).
The creation of more favorable economic conditions for business entities had an impact on the development of local enterprises (excluding enterprises with a predominant share of the state), whose output amounted to 76.0 trillion soums (52.7 percent of the volume of industry), the growth rate to the corresponding the period of the last year - 106.1%.

At present, there are more than 49,000 industrial enterprises in the republic, including 10,200 newly created in January-December 2017, of which: in Tashkent 2,600 enterprises, in Fergana region 1,144 enterprises, in Tashkent region - 1057 enterprises, Samarkand region - 895 enterprises, Namangan and Andijan regions - 800 enterprises, Bukhara region – 500 enterprises, Jizzakh and Kashkadarya regions - 400 enterprises, Karakalpakstan, Surkhandarya and Khorezm regions - 300 enterprises, Navoi and Syrdarya regions - 200 enterprises.
Implementation of modernization, technical and technological measures in January-December 2017 ensured the growth of labor productivity per 1 employed in industry by 5.6% compared to the previous year.
At the same time, above the average national level labor productivity (68.69 million soums) is observed in the city of Tashkent (122.498 million soums), Syrdarya (100.165 million soums), Kashkadarya (99.299 million soums), Navoi (94.884 million soums) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (81.524 million soums).
