Foreign ministers of Central Asian countries meet in New York

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting of heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the five Central Asian countries was held in New York (USA). Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov took part in the meeting, the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
The heads of the foreign ministries of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan discussed topical issues of cooperation in the Central Asian region, constructive solution of existing issues, including countering modern security challenges and threats.
It was noted that fruitful multilateral cooperation based the interests of all the states of the region will contribute to the dynamic development of the whole of Central Asia and each country separately.
In this context, the parties supported the initiative to hold the first ministerial meeting of the new consultative format "Central Asian countries - Afghanistan" in Tashkent.
